All alumni are invited to connect with the La Follette School through the Career Development Office, which notifies students about employment and internship opportunities, advises students on shaping their careers and assists with job searches. Alumni can play an important role in helping students by advising on specific job openings, soliciting interns or acting as mentors. The Career Development Office wants to connect alumni with students through the Alumni Network Informational Interview List.
Alumni considering job changes may sign up for the Jobs4Alumni list serve, which disseminates job announcements for more experienced applicants. To join this list serve, send your name and e-mail address to careerdev@lafollette.wisc.edu. The subject line should read Jobs4Alumni.
Alumni and friends are invited to join the La Follette Alumni Group on LinkedIn, a professional networking web site. Joining allows members to find and contact other La Follette members on LinkedIn. The goal of this group is to help members:
Gifts to the school help fund learning opportunities for students and vital research on policy issues. Donations help the La Follette School provide fellowships to students and carry out its practice of the Wisconsin Idea, to extend the borders of the university campus to the boundaries of the state and beyond.
The Board of Visitors provides guidance to the School's faculty and staff to sustain and improve the school's teaching, research and community service. The board helps link the school with alumni around the United States and beyond.
