Mitch Metropulos
Alum keeps judicial post
1986 alum Mitch Metropulos kept his job as circuit court judge for Wisconsin’s Outagamie County, having defeated Outagamie County District Attorney Carrie Schneider in an April election. Results were pending when the spring issue of La Follette Notes went to press.
Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle appointed Metropulos to the post in August 2007 to fill out a term that ends in July.
Metropulos had been an assistant district attorney since 1987, most recently in Winnebago and Outagamie counties. He holds a joint degree in law and in public policy and administration. He is active in restorative justice and domestic violence prevention.
