Alum shares expertise on Medicaid
Marlia Moore, 2004, an analyst with the Wisconsin Legislative Fiscal Bureau, spoke to legislators from 11 states and three Canadian provinces in July as part of the Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development.
The La Follette School has offered BILLD, the only leadership training program for Midwestern legislators, in conjunction with the Midwestern Legislative Conference of the Council of State Governments for 11 years.
Moore spoke on Medicaid and explored how policymakers handle trade-offs related to access, quality, quantity and cost of health care.
Thomas Hefty, former chair and chief executive officer of Cobalt Corp. and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin, joined her.
