Two panels recognize 40th anniversary of Institute for Research on Poverty

The Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management fall research conference features two panel discussions that honor the Institute for Research on Poverty's 40 years as part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.

Both panels are titled "Poverty Research over Four Decades" and will take place Friday, Nov. 3, in Monona Terrace's Lecture Hall.

La Follette School faculty member Robert Haveman, a former IRP director, will chair the first, which runs 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The second session will run 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The La Follette School and the Institute for Research on Poverty at the University of Wisconsin - Madison have a longstanding reciprocal relationship: Four La Follette faculty members have served as IRP directors or associate directors. Many La Follette faculty are IRP faculty affiliates, and many La Follette students conduct research as part of IRP projects.
