Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management

The La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has a long standing relationship with the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management, one of the nation’s premier organizations dedicated to improving public policy and management by fostering excellence in research, analysis and education.


The lakefront Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Monona Terrace Convention Center was the site  for APPAM's fall 2006 conference. The Thursday night reception was nearby at the State Capitol.

Cancian is IRP's current director, a position Wolfe held from 1994-2000.


Above: La Follette School professors Geoffrey Wallace, left, and Bob Haveman, right, share a laugh with La Follette School alum Chad Cotti at the 2006 conference in Madison. Cotti teaches in the economics department at the University of South Carolina. He graduated from La Follette in 2002 and went on to earn a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The La Follette School hosted APPAM's fall 2006 research conference,  November 2-4 at the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison. A number of  La Follette faculty and a student made presentations.

In addition, La Follette School faculty contribute to APPAM's governance as officers and members of the Policy Council, the association's board of directors.
