Graduates of the La Follette School of Public Affairs'
select program are employed around the world for
national, state and local governments, private
businesses and nonprofit organizations.
Of the 55 who graduated in May 2008, 84 percent (46 people) reported employment in their field or pursuit of further study by February 20, 2009. Of those 46 alumni, 25 are
in Madison, three are in Milwaukee, seven are in Washington, D.C., and 11 are working elsewhere in the United States. Within three months of graduating in May, 60 percent of the class had found employment in their fields.
Three members of the class reached the finalist stage in the Presidential Management Fellows Program; two chose to move forward. The third accepted a position with the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Another member of the class won the L.P. Cookingham Management Fellowship, with the City of Kansas City in Missouri.
