As a senior university relations specialist, Lisa Hildebrand coordinates the La Follette School’s communications efforts. She joined the La Follette School staff in January 2016 after many years in health care communications and as a newspaper reporter and editor.
Hildebrand’s primary responsibilities include website content, email messaging, and social media. She especially enjoys writing about the La Follette School’s outstanding faculty, students, alumni, and staff and assisting with the School’s outreach efforts.
With seven years of experience in the technology field, Hildebrand has incorporated data analytics into the School’s strategic communications plan and created the school’s first electronic newsletter. She embraces the Wisconsin Idea, welcoming opportunities to share her expertise and eager to learn from others. Hildebrand serves on a campuswide e-marketing project team and the Ad Hoc Committee on Titling and Total Compensation (TTC) Academic Staff Communications.
Hildebrand received her bachelor’s degree in communication arts from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. While at St. Norbert College, she was fortunate to secure a position as the first female sportswriter at the Green Bay Press-Gazette and was mentored by several nationally known, award-winning reporters and editors.
