Student Services Coordinator Mary Cate Treleven coordinates graduate program admissions and advising services for La Follette School students. She markets La Follette School graduate programs and meets with prospective students, assisting them throughout the application process. She serves as a resource for students in navigating the various departments of the university, the enrollment process, and graduation requirements. She works closely with students to ensure they meet course requirements for the Master of Public Affairs and Master of International Public Affairs programs. Treleven collaborates with faculty on curriculum development, advising, admissions, and enrollment management.

Treleven worked as Associate Director of Admissions at the Wheelock College Graduate School in Boston where she advised and recruited for a multicampus program. She was Program Administrator for the University of Wisconsin–Madison Law School's Lawyering Skills Program before joining the La Follette School in 2006. She earlier served as the International Admissions Director at a small Boston college for which she traveled to Asia, Europe, South America, and the Middle East to meet with students and make presentations on higher education in the United States. She has a master's degree in education from the University of Massachusetts–Boston and a bachelor's degree in communication arts from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has taught in Boston and Cali, Colombia, and is proficient in Spanish.

Treleven has coached youth soccer since 2007 and serves on several committees for the Leopold and Cherokee parent/teacher organizations in the Madison Metropolitan School District.
