Ed Johnson Fund
The estate of Edward M. Johnson established the fund to support professorships and to support teaching and research in the area of local government. Johnson was executive director of the League of Wisconsin Municipalities from 1955 to 1984 and later lobbied for the University of Wisconsin–Madison faculty. He died in 2006. Johnson was a stickler on ethical issues. He tracked legislation that affected local government and paid special attention to balancing the interests of constituent municipalities.
