'14 alum produces education videos

Arkansas legislators saw videos 2013 alum Phillip Duran filmed, directed and produced during an education committee hearing in Little Rock in November.

After completing his second master's degree — in environment and resources — Duran worked for a few months for the Rural Community Alliance and the Rural Schools Collaborative to enhance their visibility by increasing their multimedia presence online. "The series of videos I made advocate for the repeal of Act 60 in Arkansas, which the RCA and RSC don't like because it closes down small rural schools, essentially killing towns and hurting academics," Duran says.
