Students can share a potluck meal while watching the second presidential debate on Tuesday, October 16, in 8417 Sewell Social Sciences Building. The La Follette School Student Association will open the doors at 7 p.m., and the debate starts at 8 p.m.
Students are encouraged to bring a dish to share for a chili and cornbread cookoff. Participants will vote on the winner. Voting will go on throughout the debate, and LSSA board members will declare the winning dish.
For the vice presidential debate on October 11, students contribued dishes fitting the theme of "Paul Ryan's favorite Wisconsin dish." Christa Pugh won with her pumpkin cheesecake. Other dishes included "Freedom Cookies"; "Wisconsin bread, butter, honey, and jam"; "Melted Wisconsin"; "Baked Wisconsin"; "Grandma Rand's Special Cran & Krut Balls" and lots and lots of fruit pies.
The last presidential debate is October 22.
