La Follette School students have nearly doubled their fund-raising goal for the Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 9, to raise money for Special Olympics.
By late January, Team Bob had pledges of more than $950 and hopes of doubling the original goal of $500.
“Kelsey Hill leads the way with donations, having already raised $400 all by herself,” says Selina Eadie, one of the community service and outreach coordinators for the La Follette School Student Association. “We also appreciate donations from a staff member, an alum and a student.”
In addition to Eadie, plungers include Kelsey Hill, Joe O’Connell and Steve Kulig, all second-year students in the master of public affairs degree program; Katherine Mitchell, a second-year student in the international program; and Austin Frerick, a first-year in the MPA program.
