Alumni and friends in the Chicago area are invited to a reception on Thursday, November 6, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce in the Wrigley Building, 410 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 900.
The evening will be the culmination of a daylong career development visit by La Follette School students and staff. Students will meet with alumni and staff at the Government Accountability Office in the morning, then hear about nonprofit policy during a lunchtime panel discussion. They will visit Cook County Chicago City Hall for a public policy panel talk, then move to the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce for an international policy panel organized by 1991 alum Theresa Mintle, who is chief executive officer and president of Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.
"We are thrilled to be connecting with our alumni and friends as we help students explore career options in federal, international, private and nonprofit public affairs sectors," says associate directory Hilary Shager. "We look forward to visiting with many of our more than 100 alumni and friends who are in the greater Chicago area."
