Whether social media can be an effective tool for governments to increase access for lower income and less-educated citizens will be discussed in a webinar on Wednesday, September 16, featuring La Follette School professor Donald Moynihan.
The webinar, “Government in 140 Characters: Is Social Media a Tool for Greater Access?” will be 1 to 2 p.m. central daylight time. Registration is online.
Moynihan will join Jonathan Schwabish of the Urban Institute in the first in a quarterly series of collaborative webinars hosted by the Institute for Research on Poverty, of which Moynihan is a faculty affiliate, and the Urban Institute. These webinars feature researchers from each institution sharing sophisticated, policy-relevant research related to poverty and inequality.
