Policy After Work Series (PAWS) with Kate Josephs

Kate Josephs Kate Josephs

Thursday, December 10
5-7:00 pm
7 West Main St., Madison, WI

Join us for an informal talk and wonderful networking opportunity with Kate Josephs. Kate is the Executive Director of the Performance Improvement Council (PIC), supporting cross-agency collaboration and best practice sharing across the US Federal Government. She visits us from Washington DC.

The PIC is showing the results, teaching the practices and encouraging agencies to see the benefits of measuring performance and acting on those results. Ms. Josephs said the council's long-term focus is to take small pockets of improvement and watch them grow across the government, starting at the program level.

Prior to this role she was a senior civil servant in the UK Treasury Department, with over 10 years' experience in performance improvement and public service delivery. Kate was Deputy Director of the UK's Prime Minister's Delivery Unit (PMDU) reporting to Prime Minister Gordon Brown, where she had lead responsibility within government for design and implementation of UK performance management policy, including introducing an ambitious framework of cross-agency goals and governance.
