Second-year MPAs lead Penny Wars

With five days left, La Follette School faculty and staff are not faring well in the Penny Wars that have so far raised $102.41 for Doctors without Borders.

By midday October 31, the standings had second-year students in the Master of Public Affairs degree program ahead:

  • First-year MPAs: -$18.01
  • Second-year MPAs: -$8.61
  • Students in Master of International Public Affairs program: -$16.11
  • Faculty and staff: -$25.06

Standings are calculated by subtracting the value of collected bills and silver coins from the value of the collected pennies. The more pennies, the better the standing.

Funds can be contributed in the lounge in the basement of the La Follette School. The wars conclude officially Friday, November 7. The La Follette School Student Association organized the campaign and will donate through the campus Partners in Giving program.
