Yackee to speak to Civics Club

Director Susan Yackee is the public affairs speaker at the Madison Civics Club meeting on Saturday, April 11, at Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center, 1 John Nolen Drive.

The event features a keynote by Jim Leach, 30-year U.S. congressman and former chair of National Endowment for the Humanities, who will speak on "The Frailty of Today's Civil Society." The program and lunch begin at 11 a.m. with grants presented to student groups followed by Yackee's talk. Lunch is then served and Leach will speak. The student rate for the luncheon and speakers is $20; registration deadline is April 3.
