Robert M. La Follette School of Public Affairs

As one of higher education’s the top research institutions, the University of Wisconsin–Madison offers La Follette School students and faculty myriad opportunities for on- and off-campus collaborations. Madison also is home to Wisconsin’s state capitol, numerous public agencies, and various high-profile nonprofit organizations – allowing the La Follette School to extend its reach throughout the state, nation, and world.

La Follette’s highly regarded faculty members have appointments in numerous disciplines, including economics, sociology, political science, population health, and environmental studies, and several serve or previously served in leadership roles at UW–Madison’s Institute for Research on Poverty, Center for Financial Security, Center for Demography of Health and Aging, and other research entities.
