La Follette School Publications Office

The La Follette School Publications Office publishes faculty research and writing in print and online to supplement research faculty routinely publish in the best juried and peer-reviewed journals of their disciplines. Many of those publications are listed in each faculty members curriculum vita.

Twice a year, the La Follette School publishes a compendium of faculty research in its Policy Report that is mailed to more than 5,000 alumni, academics, policy-makers and government employees nationwide as part of the school's outreach mission. The Policy Report is also available online.

The La Follette School Working Paper Series disseminates faculty research online in advance of its presentation or publication, or when faculty believe the work is ready to be shared.

Policy primers, commission reports, summaries of conferences, presentations, seminars and lectures, and other publications are published or posted on the La Follette School's web site.

The Publications Office works with students and faculty to produce the Workshop Reports for the two capstone courses at the school, the Workshop in Policy Analysis, International Issues, and the Workshop in Policy Analysis, Domestic Issues. For these two courses, students collaborate in teams under faculty direction to research and analyze policy issues for real-world clients. The Publications Office produces the final printed reports that the clients receive.
