Robert M. La Follette School of Public Affairs

In the mid-1990s, charter schools emerged nationally as the main source of competition for traditional public schools. Since then , La Follette School of Public Affairs Professor John F. Witte led the Wisconsin Charter Schools Study, which conducted research at the school, district, state, and national levels. He also worked on the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program Evaluation and the School Choice Demonstration Project with experts at the University of Arkansas.
