A La Follette School student, left, chats with an alum at the annual Madison reception.
The La Follette School Student Association serves students by hosting social events, connecting students to community service opportunities, fund-raising for and coordinating the graduation ceremony and reception, maintaining an avenue for student input into the MPA and MIPA programs, and providing current students with a connection to La Follette alumni.
LSSA meets regularly during the academic year and discusses and acts on topics ranging from faculty issues, alumni event plans, and social events to the school's graduation celebration, course work and fund-raising efforts. LSSA started publishing La Flog blog in June 2009 to share events and discussion; raise awareness about the La Follette School, the student association and policy issues students study; and to collaborate and interact. Another way to keep in touch is through Facebook.
If you have any questions about LSSA or would like to be involved, please contact the appropriate LSSA representative listed below.
We encourage new students to get involved in LSSA events.

getting to know the alumni is the annual alumni event that LSSA sponsors.
Community Service and Outreach Coordinator

The community service and outreach coordinator puts the natural inclination of La Follette
students to be public servants into action by giving them the chance to
serve their community through helping voluntary organizations around
Madison.
Social Coordinator
Ian Ritz,
The social coordinator
plans social events throughout the year. The coordinator welcomes suggestions from all La
Follette School students, first and second years.

graduation celebration in May. They works throughout the year
planning the event details such as music, decorations, flowers, programs and

planning celebratory events, please consider helping out (first-year students are strongly encouraged to
volunteer).
Fund-Raising Coordinator

student association. First- and second-year La Follette students interested
