9 a.m. Check-in and Continental Breakfast

Meet staff, students and faculty, pick up your name tag, have individual photos taken, edit your bio, order a “Bob” T-shirt or mug and/or schedule an individual appointment with Student Services Coordinator Mary Treleven or Associate Director Professor Don Moynihan.

La Follette School Student Association President Emily Plagman introduces the association and its officers, sign up to participate in LSSA’s scavenger hunt and/or community volunteer activity.

Graduate School Orientation Activities

The Graduate School oversees all graduate programs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Graduate School offers additional orientation activities on Wednesday and Thursday evening

12:30-2 p.m. Panel discussions with current graduate students, Memorial Union
2:15-3 p.m. Fellowship orientation for recipients only
1-4 p.m.  Resource Fair, Great Hall, Memorial Union
4-6 p.m.   Graduate Student Collaborative Reception, Tripp Commons, Memorial Union

5–9 p.m. Multicultural Graduate Network Reception, Main Lounge, Memorial Union

11 a.m.-1 p.m. La Follette School Student Association Used Textbook Sale

1–3 p.m. Math Review for Statistics and Microeconomics (Optional)

The goal of the math camp is to make sure students understand the concepts outlined in the documents sent them.  Teaching assistant Wilson Law will go through the assessment exam and the math review concepts.  Students should come to the review sessions prepared to ask questions about the guide that was sent to them over the summer.
