Mo O’Connor joined the La Follette School of Public Affairs as its student services coordinator June 26. She serves as the school’s admissions and advising coordinator, sharing information with prospective students and complementing faculty academic advisors.
“I am thrilled to continue the tradition of excellent service and commitment to graduate students at the La Follette School,” O’Connor said. “I find great joy in working with and supporting students as they progress toward their academic and career goals.”
O’Connor also serves as the La Follette School’s liaison with campus partners that offer dual- and double-degree options and certificates: the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, Department of Planning and Landscape Architecture, Law School, Department of Neuroscience, School of Medicine and Public Health, and Wisconsin School of Business.
“We are so excited to add Mo to the La Follette student services team,” said Associate Director Hilary Shager (MPA ’05). “She brings a wealth of experience and great passion for helping students succeed.”
With 16 years of campus experience, O’Connor previously worked with students in the College of Letters & Science, School of Human Ecology, Wisconsin School of Business, School of Nursing, and College of Engineering. She has master’s degrees in fine arts (MFA) and in education (EdM) from Columbia University.
O’Connor is a proud alumna of UW–Madison’s African Languages and Literature and Women’s Studies programs.
