Policy and a Pint set for March 13

The La Follette School's Policy and a Pint presents Kevin Jones, director of the Wisconsin Crime Laboratory System, on Wednesday, March 13, 5-7 p.m. in the upstairs room of Brocach on the Square, 7 West Main Street.

Jones will address balancing the interests of the scientific community, criminal justice stakeholders, politicians and the public on pressing criminal justice policy issues.

"This after-work speaker and networking series offers a great way for alumni and friends of the La Follette School to hear from interesting speakers and catch up with each other," says organizer Kate Battiato, the school's career development coordinator.

The April 17 speaker will be the La Follette School's writer in residence, Carrie Johnson, justice correspondent for National Public Radio and a UW-Madison grad. She will share stories from the road on her coverage of national justice issues, law enforcement and legal affairs. That gathering also will be 5-7 p.m. at Brocach.
