A cost-benefit analysis by La Follette School students recommends that Wisconsin invest $20 million in programs that divert some non-violent criminal offenders from jail or prison to community-based alternatives. La Follette School of Public Affairs faculty will link public policy to the Wisconsin Idea in an afternoon symposium on Thursday, April 26, in Memorial Union's Tripp Commons. The symposium, "The Wisconsin Idea at 100: Making the Link to Policy," starts at 11:45 a.m.
